Kennesaw State University Community & Alumni Choir

Kennesaw, Georgia

Just over 10 years ago, a group of recent Kennesaw State University graduates and a choral instructor tried to figure out how they could continue choral singing after the students had graduated and no longer had that outlet. So the Kennesaw State University Community & Alumni Choir was born. Invitations were sent out, but there was uncertainty about whether the response would be great enough to form the choir. Those fears were quickly put to rest, as the KSUCAC began with about 60 members.

Now, 10 years later, membership averages around 100 singers, representing a diverse blend of musical backgrounds and KSU affiliations who all share one goal – to share the joy of music with KSU and the community. Since the day of inception, the KSUCAC remains a non-auditioned choir. The hard work and dedication of our Director, Dr. Leslie J. Blackwell, our principal accompanist Sherri Barrett, and each and every one of our members, has made the KSUCAC the largest affiliated organization of the Kennesaw State University campus.

We invite anyone wishing to share the joy of choral music to our upcoming performance, or even better, to join our choir! Simply visit our Performances page to learn about our next performance, or the Join Us page to sign up for our next season.

The Kennesaw State University Community & Alumni Choir is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
